Qwenetra Carter MOT, OTR/L, C/NDT
GwenC@Neuroplay.net Qwenetra has been a pediatric occupational therapist for 14 years and received a Master of Science in Occupational Therapy in 2010 from Saginaw Valley State University. She is certified in NDT neurodevelopmental techniques, a specialty area commonly used in treating children with neuromotor diagnoses. She also has years of experience treating children with post-neonatal care specialty needs that have motor and sensory challenges secondary to prematurity or congenital impairments. Qwenetra enjoys working with families and children from birth to young adults, targeting specific areas of concern that impede that child's participation in daily social life settings and skills. A lifelong learner, she attends workshops and webinars to ensure the highest level of patient-centered care through the use of current evidence-based practices. These courses and her years of experience help her develop individualized therapy plans targeting each child's unique interests and needs. She enjoys meeting each family to develop strategies to help them and their children reach their highest outcomes. When she is not working, you can find her enjoying nature with her family or exploring small towns in Texas and experiencing the uniqueness that Texas has to offer.

Elaine Welte MCD CCC-SLP
Elaine graduated from Arkansas State University in December 2005 with a Master of Communication Disorders. She is married and has three daughters whom she adores. Elaine worked in the public school setting as a speech therapist for 12 years before moving to Texas and in private practice for 6 years with the pediatric population specializing in receptive and expressive language disorders, articulation, and autism. In her spare time, she loves attending Texas football games and traveling!

Elaine graduated from Arkansas State University in December 2005 with a Master of Communication Disorders. She is married and has three daughters whom she adores. Kaylyn Cole, MOT, OTR/L, C/NDT

Kaylyn received her Bachelor of Science with a dual degree in Psychology and American Sign Language and a Master of Occupational Therapy at Saint Francis University, as well as a national certification in Neurodevelopmental Treatment (NDT).
She began her journey in the therapy world when she was 16 years old, working as a therapist aid at the Children’s Institute of Pittsburgh. There, she fell in love with the world of therapy, working in the hospital setting, Outpatient clinic, Autism school, and Prader Willi syndrome program. She currently has over 6 years of experience as an OT in various settings, including inpatient, outpatient, and home health. Kaylyn has treated children all her life and has taken many advanced educational courses for feeding, ADHD, and ASD.
When she is not spending her time with us here at NeuroPlay Therapy, she enjoys going to church, playing with her therapy dog, Peaches, and flipping houses with her husband in the ATX area.

Ashley Roberts, MOT, OTR/L, C/NDT

Ashley obtained her Bachelor of Science degree and Master of Occupational Therapy degree from Western Michigan University in 2017.
She has worked with the pediatric population for the last 6 years and strives to treat children with the most current, effective, and beneficial treatments available. In 2024, she obtained a certification in Neurodevelopmental Treatment (NDT), an effective treatment strategy for children with neuromotor deficits. Ashley is also trained in treating children with feeding deficits and picky eaters, having extensive training with Talk Tools. She has taken continuing education for handwriting and teaches a systematic approach following the Handwriting Without Tears curriculum. Currently, Ashley is obtaining her PATH Intl. CTRI certification for Hippotherapy (horse) after volunteering for 3 years at a therapeutic riding facility as a horse handler.
Ashley enjoys many different environments and methods of treating children. Whether it be aquatic therapy, animal-assisted therapy, nature exploration, or in-home ADL training, she has the experience and the passion to help. In April 2024, she got engaged to the love of her life, Kyle! They live out in the country with their dog Ranger, who they rescued off the side of the road. In March of 2024, they started the nonprofit Therapy Barn, where they rescue horses and train them for therapeutic riding. Currently, two horses have been rescued: Jellybean, a retired barrel racer, and Blaze, who was rescued from a kill pen. After Ashley receives her Path Intl. certification in 2025, she will be treating clients with her horses.

Casey Gause, M.S. CCC-SLP
Casey received her Bachelor of Arts and her Master of Science degrees from the University of Utah. She has been working as a speech-language pathologist since graduating in 2019.
Since completing her degree, Casey has provided speech therapy to children of many different backgrounds and in various settings. She has had ample experience with neurodivergent populations, medically complex children, and pediatric feeding disorders. She is also an Ampcare ESP certified for dysphagia therapy and has also worked to develop augmentative and alternative communication (AAC) systems for several children, including using speech-generating devices to facilitate communication. Casey has completed continuing education classes to deepen her knowledge and improve her ability to provide inclusive, comprehensive treatment for language, social-emotional, cognitive, feeding, and play development.
She speaks Spanish and can provide evaluations and treatments to children in both English and Spanish. In her free time, Casey enjoys taking hikes with her dogs, playing video games, listening to music, and exploring new places.
